Will of Andrew Malseed of Philadelphia, PA, Dated 7 Aug 1872, Filed 16 Sep 1872 In the name of God, amen. I Andrew Malseed, Copper Plate Printer of the city of Philadelphia, being of sound mind, memory and understanding, hereby make and declare this my last will and testament pronouncing null void and of no effect all other wills heretofore made by me. First, I consign my mortal body to the ground, any[1] my spirit to my God who gave it. Second I appoint my friend Willian T. Purnell No 513 Washington Avenue of the said city and my well beloved wife Eliza Adams as Executors of my Estate and also Trustees or Guardians of my children George Shubert Malseed and James Phyfe Malseed. Third , I direct that all my just debts be paid, but first of all such, I particularly enjoin the payment of the bill of my particular friend and physician Dr. Theodore W. Murphey who has not only given his professional services and medicines thus far without payment but has shown himself a true friend and brother. Fourth I give and bequeath to my son George S. Malseed, my old fashioned book case or secretary together with all its contents, to be by him kept and preserved as a special keepsake. Fifth, as to the rest and residue of my estate both real and personal which I now or may hereafter possess, I direct that it may be divided amongst my wife and children according to the Intestate Laws of the state of Pennsylvania. S.S. Then personally appeared Byron Danby Wash Bladen the subscribing witnesses to the foregoing last will of Andrew Malseed deceased, and on his solemn oath did say that he was present and did see and hear Andrew Malseed deceased, the testator therein named sign publish and declare the same as and for his last will and testament, and that at the doing thereof he was of sound disposing mind, memory, and understanding to the best of their knowledge and belief. me, the date above; Registers office Sept. 16th 1872 We do swear that as the Executors of the foregoing last will and testament of Andrew Malseed dec, we will well and truly administer the goods and chattels, rights and credits of said deceased, according to law; and that we will diligently and faithfully regard and well and truly comply with the provisions of the law relating to collateral inheritances.
